Dept. of Education > Office for Educational Review > Educational Profile The Educational Profile[Users of the Educational Profile should consult the staff intranet for more information.] The Educational Profile will provide appropriate student and school data to relevant DoE staff. It will comprise individual level student data (the student component of the profile) as well as aggregate summary and comparative information (the school component of the profile). In addition the Educational Profile may be used to access various other school level datasets as appropriate. Initially, the student component of the profile will display existing information from the department’s Data Warehouse. This will provide access to the following student data:
It is envisaged that over time the scope of the profile will be expanded to encompass additional datasets, such as Kindergarten Development Check (KDC) data, Performance Indicators in Primary School (PIPS) data and data from other assessment frameworks (such as the Essential Learnings), information from other LeAP data stores, and other student data (e.g. drug-related incidents (DRI) captured via the department’s web-based DRI application). The school component of the profile will provide school level summaries and comparative data for the following student data:
It is intended that the school part of the profile will be the vehicle for accessing school related key performance indicators for reporting at state and national level. As for the student part of the profile, it is envisaged that the scope of the school profile will be expanded over time to accommodate business needs. Functionality will be progressively added to the Educational Profile. Phase 1 of the profile will provide access to datasets already present on the department’s Data Warehouse (enrolment, attendance, suspensions, literacy and numeracy test results). Phase 2 of the profile will add further datasets (KDC, PIPS, ELS). Phase 3 of the profile will allow aggregation of student data to provide student-level and school-level summaries. Further functionality—such as the ability to perform multi-dimensional analyses and sophisticated charting, or the ability to export data—will need to be scoped and specified for Phase 4. |
