Assessment

Assessment of student achievement in using this learning object, including the creation and uploading of their own web project on one or more topics, will have two strands:

Assessment points are suggested in the Teaching Notes section.

Throughout this series of Teacher Resources, examples of assessment as, for and of learning are included as appropriate. See Effective assessment for an explanation of these assessment terms.

Achievement in Indonesian proficiency:

Assessment of Indonesian proficiency can be made through measuring student performance against criteria on a number of assessment tasks based on the Key Performance Measures for Indonesian Yr 6/7; as well as any state and territory languages proficiency outcomes.

Self-assessment: Whenever students finish working on a project in this learning object, they can self-assess or peer-assess using this rubric (in Word or PDF).

View the Key Performance Measures (KPMs) for Indonesian Yr 6/7 for Proyek kejersama WWW (in Word or PDF).

A 'master' (blank) version of the KPMs for Indonesian Yr 6/7 is available in the Resources section. Teachers can adapt this to the assessment of other tasks.

  • describe the reasons for a particular sport being valued and supported in both Indonesia and Australia (Made's project)
  • analyse the characteristics of a hero demonstrated in Tuti's project and in their own project
  • compare the importance of tourism to Bali and the importance of tourism to their own region, and demonstrate how attractions can be presented persuasively (Budi's project)
  • locate, assess and select appropriate information for their web project
  • present their web project using appropriate software.
