Assessment
Assessment of student achievement in using this
learning object, including the creation and uploading of their own web
project on one or more topics, will have two strands:

Throughout this series of Teacher

learning are included as appropriate. See Effective assessment for
an explanation of these assessment terms.
Achievement in Indonesian proficiency:
Assessment of Indonesian
proficiency can be made through measuring student performance against
criteria on a number of assessment tasks based on the Key Performance
Measures for Indonesian Yr 6/7; as well as any state and territory
languages proficiency outcomes.
Self-assessment:
Whenever students finish working on a project in this learning object,
they can self-assess or peer-assess using this rubric (in
Word or
PDF).

Assessment of student understanding:
Using students projects and their participation in
class discussions, assess the extent to which students can:
- use and explain the language and stylistic features
of particular genres used in their project
- compare the ways in which water is important to
both Indonesia and Australia, and how it influences the lifestyle of
people in both countries (Umi's project)
- describe the reasons for a particular sport being
valued and supported in both Indonesia and Australia (Made's project)
- analyse the characteristics of a hero demonstrated
in Tuti's project and in their own project
- compare the importance of tourism to Bali and the
importance of tourism to
their own region, and demonstrate how attractions can be presented
persuasively (Budi's project)
- locate, assess and select appropriate information
for their web project
- present their web project using appropriate
software.
