Mari kita makan!!

You have bought the ingredients, now how about cooking the dishes!

The three recipes chosen as the basis for the shopping lists in Mari kita makan are:

  • Gado-gado - Indonesian salad (Word or PDF)

  • Sapi rendang dengan nasi putih - Beef rendang & white rice (Word or PDF)

  • Rujak - Spicy Indonesian fruit salad (Word or PDF)

Plan, cook and share an Indonesian meal which includes these three dishes. There are other food items sold in the market that could also be added to the menu for this special Indonesian meal. For example:

  • krupuk are cheap and easy to prepare, and can be used for playing a simple game. (Krupuk are hung on thin string. Students keep their hands behind their backs and race to see who can eat them first.)
  • satays and noodles provide an alternative hot food
  • tropical fruits can make a less spicy dessert.
Selamat makan!
