Major and Minor Works

This section encompasses policies, procedures, and forms required to undertake building works.

You will also find an overview of the Capital Investment Program  and some examples of good practice and innovative building works contained in the booklet Curriculum and Campus - Changing Expectations.

Policies

  Capital Investment Program - over view of the treasury policy underpinning the Capital Investment Program 
  Capital Programs for Schools - encompasses the recognition and publicity required by the Commonwealth during the construction phase, official openings, school responsibilities, State and Territory responsibilities and ramifications of non compliance.

Area and Space Standards Guidelines to help determine whether sites and or functional areas are within the normal range. 

Forms

  The following applications should be used when making applications for major and minor works funding:
  Minor Works and Essential Maintenance Application Form - Schools and Colleges - Submissions are sought annually in February with the program administered on a single financial year basis.
  Capital Investment Program Application Form - Schools and Colleges - Submissions are sought annually in February with the program administered on a rolling three year basis. 
  Minor Works and Essential Maintenance Application Form - Non-school Budget Centres - Submissions are sought annually in February with the program administered on a single financial year basis.
  Capital Investment Program Application Form - Non-school Budget Centres - Submissions are sought annually in February with the program administered on a rolling three year basis.
