Ozline
-Working the Web for Education
Working the Web is part of the Ozline site based in Australia,
but run by an expatriate American educator turned small-businessman,
Tom March. This section has lots of good,
carefully structured examples of ways teachers can work with
the Web in classrooms. It's well-organised and easy
to follow but offers more than a how-to. The explanation
of the differences between traditional classroom research,
and classroom research using the Internet is thought-provoking
and worth sharing with students. (It includes the cheery comment
to teachers: "It's a lot like what you're already doing...It's
unlike anything you've ever done before.")
